How I became a Professional Speaker in 500 words or less ...
My career as a Professional Speaker began at the Newton Massachusetts, Marriott Christian Men's, Prayer Breakfast. [It's the only prayer group that I have ever been to that meets in a saloon. Maybe we need more of them!]
I'd been attending this every Friday morning event for about a year when one of the other members said 'Hey Bob, would you like to speak one of these weeks?' I was terrified of the though but said "Yes!". My talk went great! I had no idea that I was capable of presenting that way. The Lord spoke through me as I related some of the memorable sermon points I'd heard that had effected my life.
My Christian Speaking expand as I graduated from breakfasts to Lunches to Dinners to evening keynote events. Somewhere in this cycle I was asked to speak on a panel at a Miller Freeman run Computer Conference in Boston and was offered a paid engagement in California as a result of my performance. Thus began my career as a Professional Speaker. I'm now a member of National Speakers Association and speak at major Corporate Events across the country.
My roots are as a Christian Speaker and I will work a way to honor God with the gift that he has given me by speaking where you and your Christian group meets.
When Christian Men and Women testify as to where they have been and why their lives changed because of Jesus Christ, lives in the audience can change.
